PARKSVILLE TO TOFINO MONDAY 18/09/2017

Our itinerary described this as follows "Today you make the short yet beautiful drive to Tofino and it is an adventure in itself". This has got to be the biggest understatement ever! Please google "Pacific Rim Highway" to get a full description of this amazing stretch of highway if you don't believe us. (Here is a link to a YouTube video, of someone driving said highway. It has been sped up so only runs for 20 minutes. Maybe Lynda might like a reminder of what it was like! BCH4 always makes it on to dangerousroads.org too!  - Ed) We decided to stop at a place called Coombs Market where along with a full range of groceries and an excellent breakfast of which we indulged they also have a herd of goats on their roof! Further down the road we stopped at a beautiful section of old-grove trees known as Cathedral Grove, amazing western red cedar trees.
