A DAY OF REST IN TOFINO. WELL SORT OF! 21/09/2017

Well this morning we had a lie in and decided to take a short stroll to to the local bakery for our breakfast, cappuccino for both of us, croissant for me and muffin for Lynda. Back to the room then for a morning trying to catch up on the blog. Sorry it has gone out of sync but out adventure has been pretty hectic and we loose track of the days. You'll be pleased to know that with this post we will be right up to date.

By lunchtime the sunshine and the view from our balcony seemed much more appealing than struggling with the lap top so we decided to go for a walk and find some of the local beaches. Unfortunately there are not many decent trails but the few there are are well signposted and carry plenty of information boards about the local area, history, flora and fauna.Well the short stroll turned out be a fair few kilometers. On return to town found a great ice cream parlour, where among all the other flavors they had one called Tiger Tiger... orange and licorice, which tasted pretty good! As we strolled further into town we bumped into the young lady from Ocean Outfitters and she was over the moon about the gift of some salmon and how our trip had gone.

Tea tonight was a prime fillet of Canadian Coho Salmon caught by yours truly cooked on the gas BBQ courtesy of Mike the owner of Duffin Coast resort and he also supplied the fresh lemon, flavouring and foil to cook it in. We had brought some salad stuff from the local Co-Op and along with a glass or two of Canadian Reisling the meal was excellent, all the more so as we sat looking out over the small cove our resort is named over.

All in all a  fantastic end to a busy couple of days! Lynda is quite pleased with her sunset pictures.

What follows are some of my pictures from toady. An eclectic mix from beaches to big trucks and a very odd sign
