JASPER SIGHTSEEING 09,10/09/2017

To continue the story, we were picked up from the railway station and taken to our hotel. As the train was late we didn't have a lot of time to see anything that evening so we went for a bite to eat in one of Jasper's many restaurants managing to dodge most of the showers. We chose the Fiddle River restaurant which was recommended to us by our travel agents, Lynda had a pasta dish with scallops and prawns and Roger tried the meat loaf, both of which were really nice. Both of us were looking forward to a good nights sleep in a bed that wasn't rocking and rolling! Next morning we had an 0815 start on our nature tour to Maligne Lake with a cruise on the lake. Chuck our driver and guide was a very knowledgeable man and had some strong opinions on how the National Park should be managed especially the situation relating to the pine beetle and managing the environment with fire.
